Southern Oaks Middle School Host Holiday Food Drive

In an inspiring display of community spirit, the Global Perspectives students at Southern Oaks Middle School organized a holiday food drive aimed at helping families in St. Lucie County cope with food insecurity. This initiative, which took place during the busy holiday season, brought together students, faculty, and community members in a collective effort to provide nourishment to those in need.

The holiday food drive was not just an opportunity for the students to give back, but also a chance to learn about the importance of service and the impact of community involvement. Through their efforts, the students raised an impressive total of approximately 489 pounds of food. Southern Oaks Middle School not only reduced food insecurity for many families in St. Lucie County but also empowered students to engage in their community in meaningful ways. As we reflect on this initiative, it’s clear that acts of service, big or small, can leave a lasting impact on the lives of others.
