SLW Centennial’s Navy JROTC Black Talon unit competed in the Florida State Area 7 NJROTC Brain Brawl Academic Championships this past weekend on Saturday, January 28th, 2023, hosted by Gaither High School, in Tampa, Florida.
“Alpha” team, c/LCDR Aidan Rossell, c/SCPO Sean Stewart, c/PO2 Jannaya Grant, c/SR Hei Chu and c/LTjg Jade Sikorski, placed 16th out of 32 teams, making it to the semi-finals before being eliminated.
“Bravo” Team, c/ENS Casey Scott, c/LT Peyton Mangine, c/SN Nolan Hamel, c/ENS Faith Miller, and c/PO2 Mayreeana Neston, placed 24th out of 32 teams. The unit will look to qualify for Nationals next year!
