The SLW Centennial NAVY JROTC “Black Talon” Unit toured the Cape Canaveral Cost Guard Station on Monday, March 20th, 2023.
The unit toured their Operations and Communications Center and received a brief on the responsibilities and daily operations of the Coast Guard.
The Unit also toured the United States Coast Guard Cutters SKIPJACK as well as the CONFIDENCE. They toured the Navigation Bridge, Engine Room, Galley and Common Spaces.
The tour finished with a walk through of the Coast Guard small boat responsible for migrant intervention and narcotic seizures.
