The SLW Centennial High School NAVY JROTC unit assisted the Caribbean American Cultural Group, Inc. on Monday, January 17th, 2022 at their annual memorial celebration honoring the life and work of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The event took place at the Sunlight Community Church and the guest speaker was Hon. Byron Rushing, Massachusetts House of Representatives from 1983 to 2018.
The SLW Centennial High School NAVY JROTC presented colors and began the Pledge of Allegiance before the event. The Color Guard members consisted of Cadet Senior Chief Petty Officer Nicholas Linarducci (Right Rifleman), Cadet Lieutenant Aidan Rossell (Color Guard Commander/Ensign Flagman), Cadet Ensign Nikolas Ramirez (Unit Flagman), and Cadet Lieutenant Commander Gregory Vetrano (Left Rifleman).
