The SLW Centennial annual JV and Varsity Soccer Boys Banquet was held at Duffy’s Superplay to celebrate the end of an exciting soccer season. Players, coaches, and families gathered to honor the achievements and hard work of the teams. Several awards were presented during the banquet, including Coach of the Year, which was given to the coach who demonstrated exceptional leadership, strategy, and success throughout the season. Freshman of the Year was awarded to the most outstanding first-year player, highlighting their significant impact and potential. The Best Performance award recognized a single game or moment where a player or team delivered an extraordinary performance. The Most Valuable Player (MVP) award was given to the player who was the most valuable to their team throughout the season, recognizing consistent excellence and leadership.

The JV team had an impressive record of 9-1, with their only loss coming against Melbourne after their goalie broke his hand during warm-ups. Despite this setback, the team showed remarkable resilience and skill. The Varsity team had a stellar regular season record of 11-2-1 and emerged as district champions. Their success was a testament to their hard work, dedication, and teamwork.
The banquet was a fitting end to a season filled with triumphs and challenges. It was a night of celebration, recognition, and camaraderie, as the soccer community came together to honor the outstanding achievements of the players and coaches.
