Sadie is ‘superintendent for the day’

Third grade Allapattah Flats K8 student Sadie Garcia, daughter of Jennifer and Brian Garcia, won a raffle fundraiser prize for the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce of being St. Lucie Schools’ Superintendent for the Day. On June 1, 2012, Sadie began the day accompanying Superintendent Michael Lannon to the business meeting of the Roundtable of St. Lucie County, where she participated in the regular business of the organization, approving the budget and seconding a motion to adjourn the meeting. Sadie, who says her favorite school subjects are math and reading, and she enjoys art, met employees throughout the school district office, visited Fort Pierce Central High School, and the south county compound.
