Port St. Lucie High School Army JROTC Jaguar Battalion hosted a Raider competition at Port St. Lucie High School. Volunteer cadets for each company assisted in running the competition’s five events. The cadets performed tasks such as running scores back to H22 (the JROTC classroom), working the concession stand, and making sure tents posted around the school had water for anyone who needed it. There were 11 schools from four different counties with over 25 separate teams competing in three separate categories (Male, Female, and Mixed).
The teams participated in: Relay Run, Tire Flip, Cross Country Rescue, Humvee Push, and Rope Bridge. The Jaguar Battalion came in first and second place in the Male category and first place in the Female category and Jupiter HS won the Mixed category. The regional competition to determine who qualifies for the Florida State Raider Meet is on November 10, 2018, at South Fork High School.
