PSLHS JROTC Participates in State Championship Drill Competition

On Saturday April 13, 2019, Port St. Lucie High School Army JROTC Jaguar Battalion’s drill team took 32 cadets to compete at the State Drill Meet at George W. Jenkins High School in Lakeland, Florida. The drill team competed in five regulation events: Female Armed and Unarmed Platoon, Male Unarmed and Armed Squad, and Male Unarmed Platoon. The Jaguar Battalion Drill team also competed in six exhibitions: Female Exhibition Squad and Platoon along with Male Exhibition Squad and Platoon. Cadet Sergeant Alex Nangle placed 14th in the state in the Individual Category while Cadet Captain Alexis Morris and 2nd Lieutenant Lawrence Moleon Mathews placed 16th in the Dual Category. The Jaguar Battalion Drill team’s hard work, effort, and precision in drill and ceremonies culminated in a great showing for the final drill meet of the year!
