Mrs. Menezes’s Science students at Performance Based Academy recently participated in a lab project that combined their science knowledge and creative skills. The goal of the project was to reinforce their understanding of the diversity of Florida’s Everglades, and how different animal species adapt to different ecosystems. Students enjoyed the hands-on activity and were able to incorporate their creative and imaginative skills to create clay creatures that inhabit the Everglades. Mrs. Menezes and Principal Dr. Jamison combined efforts to create a competition to encourage participation. Students enjoyed working on their projects. It was a fun and productive way to reinforce their knowledge and appreciation of Florida’s wonderful ecosystem.
