It’s time to celebrate! Thirty-one schools have been recognized for their commitment to excellence and resilience in implementing a school-wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Support framework during the 2020-2021 school year.
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an evidence-based three-tiered framework to improve and integrate all of the data, systems, and practices affecting student outcomes every day. PBIS creates schools that support everyone – especially students with disabilities – for success!
By establishing this framework, the schools listed below have demonstrated a commitment to developing students’ social-emotional skills, making changes to the school environment, acknowledging and celebrating appropriate student behavior and using data to identify needed supports for students. The 2020-2021 Model School Resilience Award demonstrates each school’s commitment to the effective implementation of PBIS and efforts toward achieving positive and equitable outcomes for all students.
Congratulations to the following schools!
