Bus Drivers Breakfast Held at Palm Pointe

Every year Palm Pointe Educational Research School @ Tradition hosts a breakfast for the school’s bus drivers.  Drivers and aides that come to our school each day are invited to come and enjoy a fun morning with a delicious hot breakfast. A PowerPoint presentation is also shared with the drivers going over the P.B.I.S. (Positive Behavior Interventions and Support)  expectations for the students. Palm Pointe Educational Research School @ Tradition recently celebrated our P.P.E. bus drivers during our 4th Annual Bus Driver Breakfast prepared by one of our volunteers, Ms. Pam Molner. The bus drivers were treated to a delicious breakfast and a short Positvie Behavior Intervention Support (P.B.I.S.) presentation given by Dean Debborah Estrada and Dean Matthew Kovach. Diana Hight,(P.B.I.S. parent volunteer) collected gifts from area businesses that were used as raffle gifts for drivers to win. Palm Pointe hosted their annual Bus Driver Appreciation Breakfast on Thursday, September 28th. PPE appreciates all their bus drivers do each day bringing our Rockets to and from school safely! Each driver received a gift, enjoyed special drawings, a delicious breakfast, and hopefully left knowing how much we appreciate all they do!

Burkes’ Bravery

Cobra Nation and Big Apple Pizza’s Van Duzer Foundation rallies with one our own! On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, Big Apple Pizza hosted a fundraiser for Fort Pierce Central High School Chemistry teacher, Adora Burkes. Mrs. Burkes is diagnosed with stage four cancer. Although it is not curable, the chronic condition is considered treatable but is very expensive. For the foreseeable future, she is bravely facing rigorous radiation, chemo, and physical therapy treatments. Bulldogs Take To The Swamp

MOA Students engaged in an ecosystem sampling/surveying activity that included dip-netting, cast netting and hiking through mangrove swamp and hammock along the Indian River Lagoon at Pepper Park and Wild Cat Cove. Our young minds are exploring and finding solutions to protect our waterways! Way to go Bulldogs!

Participation in athletics and extracurricular programs at Forest Grove Middle School is on the rise! SY25 has already brought us an exciting girls’ volleyball season and our intramural soccer team advanced to the second round wrapping up a competitive run at a championship. CRUSHING IT AT ODYSSEY OF THE MIND! Huge congratulations to our Palm Pointe Middle School Odyssey of the Mind team, who placed FIRST PLACE in Division II at the regional competition! This amazing team tackled the Structure Problem, where they engineered a structure strong enough to hold as much weight as possible, withstand balls being thrown at it, and still shine through a creative problem‑solving skit. Building Tolerance Contest at Palm Pointe

October is Bully Prevention Month and Palm Pointe Educational Research School @ Tradition had some exciting things planned in order to continue to create a safe and caring school environment free from bullying and exclusion. One way to increase tolerance at the school was to have students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade create anti-bullying posters about Building Tolerance and students in grades six through eight write essays with the same topic. Partnerships with local businesses such as Phoenix Metals support pathways to success for students in St. Lucie Public Schools Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs. CTE offers a complete range of career options for all students, helping them to discover their interests and the educational pathways that lead to success.  These programs offer students the opportunity to achieve industry-recognized certifications, work-based learning experiences, and articulated college credits.  CTE helps students gain the technical skills, rigorous academic foundation, and real-world experience they need for post-secondary education and a high-skill, high-wage, high-demand career.

Building Construction Technologies Hosts Virtual Field Trip

Port St. Lucie High’s Building Construction Technologies students hosted a virtual field trip for Mr. Kevin Fess’s students at Northport K-8.  The high school students highlighted the skills learned and equipment used in their program.  The 8th graders asked great questions while sitting in their middle school classroom!  Big thanks to Mr. Bruce Gardner, Instructor and his Building Construction Technologies students at Port St Lucie High.
