Fort Pierce Central High School recently celebrated its annual Senior/Freshmen Breakfast. This tradition pairs experienced seniors with incoming freshmen to build connections and foster mentorship. The event brought together 100 seniors and 100 freshmen in quartets of two seniors and two freshmen. Over breakfast, students played games and engaged in meaningful conversations. Fort Pierce Central High School senior Hunter Sciscente was recently presented with the Daughters of American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen Award at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church Parish Hall for his outstanding contributions to the community. Being the regional winner, Hunter has since completed an essay on Personal Heritage, which is currently being submitted to the DAR statewide competition along with his well-earned credentials. This past weekend, FPC’s incredible musicians showed up and showed out at the Solo & Ensemble Festival, earning 13 Excellent ratings and 52 Superior ratings across both band and guard! Some 120 students in Samantha Pullins’ Medical Academy at Fort Pierce Central High School received free composition books from the Kids In Need Foundation thanks to donations from the back to school supply drive held by local Walgreen drug stores. Ms. Pullins wrote and won a grant with the foundation to be the recipient of school supplies collected by Walgreen stores located in Indian River, Saint Lucie, Martin and Palm Beach counties. Fort Pierce Central Hosts Education Foundation Annual Scholarship Ceremony

Principal Monarae Miller-Buchanan and Assistant Principal Ayesia Boria were the Masters of Ceremony for the 2022 Annual Scholarship Ceremony sponsored by the Education Foundation. The Education Foundation awarded 60 scholarships funded by 20 donors totaling $58,000. The annual Fort Pierce Central High School 9/11 Ceremony represents an opportunity for students, faculty, staff, and area first-responders to come together to honor the victims and survivors of the tragic events that took place on September 11th, 2001. For the ceremony, the Cobra Battalion JROTC flag detail carries the U.S. and Florida State colors to the school flag pole and, to the tune of reveille, raises them to the top of the flag pole (full staff) . Fort Central High School held its Annual History Fair Luncheon at the Cobra Café recently to honor the winners of the school’s event. Fort Pierce Central High students mentor at Savanna Ridge Elementary

The students at Savanna Ridge Elementary participated in many exciting events during literacy week. One of the special events that took place was visitors from Fort Pierce Central coming to the school. The student leaders from Central read to the third through fifth grade students, talked to them about academics, sportmanship, and the importance of being a responsible student. The day ended with the high school students eating lunch with the students. The children loved talking with the older students and really looked up to them as their role models.
