FPC’s P R I S M The Fort Pierce Central High School concert band capped off an amazing season and another outstanding year under the direction of Mr. Joshua Daniels. FPC Marching Cobra Band and Key Club showed Fort Pierce that the new Christmas colors are Purple and Gold! Over 100 Key Club members participated! The Chapter Business Procedure team takes 1st place again in SkillsUSA Florida state competition. The same team placed 8th in the National competition in June 2014. The team will be unable to compete this June due to summer college orientation commitments. A monumental congratulations to our FPC STEM Fair Students. Students did a phenomenal job presenting their projects on Friday, February 11th at the District STEM Fair. Ms. Amanda Buck, a proud Cobra science teacher, reports FPC presenting among the best projects at the STEM Fair! A cool, late January morning was a milestone moment in the journey for seniors at Fort Pierce Central High School. This year, a pinning parade accommodated seniors and their supportive families. Miss Hailey Mangio was among the 15,000 finalists named in the 66th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. These academically accomplished students are now eligible for continued competition in the program, which awards National Merit Scholarships worth more than $30 million each spring. The Cobra cafeteria turned into the hot spot for hosting an incredible celebration! Fort Pierce Central honored more than 560 students who achieved significant learning gains on their ELA PM2 assessment! These dedicated students demonstrated the growth targets needed to show academic progress. Commemorating Heroes from 9/11 Saturday 9/9/2023, Patriots from across the Treasure Coast gathered to commemorate 9/11, first responders, and America’s Veterans. Ft. Pierce Central High School’s Raider team provided 10 volunteers and 6 competitors in the first Cadet Challenge physical fitness competition. Cadets from four JROTC programs and the Sea Cadets participated in a 3.43 mile ruck march and then the competitors each did as many push-ups, sit-ups, and pull-ups as they could in 2 minutes in each event.
