PSLHS JROTC Angel Tree

Every year, the Port Saint Lucie JROTC program has the privilege to work with Guardians for New Futures and Communities Connected for Kids, to help collect toys for kids during the holiday season. This year, Port Saint Lucie High School sponsored 27 kids to ensure they have a memorable and enjoyable holiday season.  

PSLHS JROTC Accreditation Inspection

The Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion achieved a score of 98.25% on its JPA inspection, allowing them to maintain Honor Unit with Distinction Award, represented with a yellow star worn above the name plate on the right-hand side. The day began with a Continuous Improvement and Service Learning briefing. Directly after each briefing, the Platoon and Color Guard drill evaluation was conducted followed by Cadet and Instructor Portfolios. PSLHS JROTC 2019 Awards Ceremony

On Wednesday March 28, 2019, Port St. Lucie High School Army JROTC Jaguar Battalion attended its 25th Annual Awards Ceremony. Guests from veteran associations collaborated with school staff and presented awards to deserving cadets. Cadets received awards for academic achievement, leadership qualities, and patriotism. Cadets were proud to receive recognition for their hard work. Starting the ceremony was the Color Guard commanded by Cadet Command Sergeant Major Victoria Diaz, accompanied by Cadet Major Joleen Kalinowski, Cadet 1st Lieutenant Lila Meade, and Cadet Sergeant Alex Nangle. On Monday and Tuesday, November 6th –7th, selected cadets from the Port St. Lucie High School Army JROTC Jaguar Battalion’s Raider Team went to Southport Middle School. PSLHS Jaguars Dominated Down South

 On Friday, February 12th, 2022, the Jaguar Battalion traveled to Seminole Ridge High School to compete against 10 schools for the 1st place title. Both male and female teams competed in Unarmed/Armed Squad, Unarmed/Armed Platoon, Color Guard, and Let 1 Squad. PSLHS Jaguar Raider Team Dominates Area III

The Port Saint Lucie High School Jaguar Raider Team traveled to South Fork High School to compete in the Area III Regional Raider Meet State qualifier. They competed against 22 teams from nine other schools in five physically demanding events. The events consisted of Cross Country Rescue (team had to answer questions on first aid, treat a simulated 120lb casualty with supplies from 30lb ruck sacks, and then move the casualty and supplies one mile to the safe zone), 100 meter 300lb tire flip. This summer, Port St. Lucie High School is celebrating one of its own. Brianna Vaughn, a member of the Class of 2027, was the sole Port St. Lucie Jaguar selected to participate in the inaugural high school internship program at Cleveland Clinic Martin Health. The highly competitive program offered students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and insight into the world of healthcare. PSLHS Jaguar Battalion’s Field Day Adventure

The Jaguar Battalion recently held its annual Field Day, a competition designed to foster friendly competition and determine the top-performing company. On May 10th, 2025, cadets gathered, ready to engage in a series of athletic events. The day began promptly at 7:30 AM, with cadets reporting in their PT gear and getting ready for each event under the guidance of their company command teams. PSLHS Jaguar Battalion Supporting Veterans Campaign

On Sunday, October 22nd , the Port St. Lucie High School JROTC Jaguar Battalion conducted a Color Guard for the Professional Golfers Association at their golf course in St. Lucie West. Our cadets opened the ceremony with the national anthem sung by Dave Bray. The event was the 15th Annual Liberty Mutual Invitational Benefiting Caddy For a Cure. Commanding the Color Guard was National Flag Bearer Cadet Lieutenant Michael Coccaro accompanied by Cadet Second Lieutenant Eathan Clayton as the State Flag Bearer, Cadet Captain Jeremiah Davis as Right Guard, and Cadet Master Sergeant Olivia Hunnell as the Left Guard. 

PSLHS Jaguar Battalion Shines!

On Saturday, September 10th, 2022, the Port St. Lucie High School JROTC Jaguar Battalion conducted their first car wash of the school year at O’Reilly’s located off of US-1. Cadets were placed in different teams such as the wash team, dry team, and sign holding teams. It was a great success and a good way for our first-year cadets to see how we give back to our community.

PSLHS Jaguar Battalion Honors Veterans by Presenting the Colors at St. Andrews

The Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion had the honor of presenting the colors to pay homage to veterans at Saint Andrew’s Lutheran Church located at 295 SW Prima Vista Blvd. in Port St. Lucie. PSLHS Jaguar Battalion Celebrates 23rd Annual Military Ball

2017 Military Ball By: Sarai Narvaez The Port Saint Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion hosted their 23nd annual Military Ball at the Saint Lucia River Club. This night is dedicated to a long line of military time honored traditions. The Military Ball is a formal celebration for cadets followed by a time for the cadets to enjoy building camaraderie and dancing. PSLHS Jaguar Battalion and the Big Heart Brigade

Over Thanksgiving break, Cadets from the Port Saint Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion partnered with the Big Heart Brigade and prepared thousands of pounds of food for Thanksgiving Day. Our Cadets worked 2-hour shifts where they prepared food 3 days prior to Thanksgiving, then packaged food during a 3 hour shift on Thanksgiving morning. Thanks to the Cadets who volunteered and made the event a huge success.

PSLHS Jaggernauts Compete in Robotics Competition

The PSLHS Jaggernauts ranked 48th out of 64 teams at the First Robotics Competition in West Palm Beach, including international teams. The students learned the value in collaboration, and they will keep building from it!  Prior to their arrival, their robot worked at 70% of its attainable project.  Combined with the selfless dedication of other teams, they assisted in getting the robot to 100% of the envisioned robot. Cheers to the future engineers of PSLHS!

PSLHS HOSA Students Have a HEART for Service

Mrs. Cebelak and her HOSA students coordinated a volunteer event with Molly’s House. Molly’s House is a home close to Cleveland Clinic that offers housing to those who have family members in the hospital or are receiving treatments themselves. They have 16 different room sizes, ranging from single beds to family apartment-style spaces. It is very similar to the Ronald McDonald housing, but an independent entity.  

PSLHS Helps Save Lives!

On Wednesday, September 14th, the Port St. Lucie High School Jaguar Battalion executed their first Blood Drive of the year. The Blood Drive ran efficiently, and we are grateful to have had the opportunity to serve the community. Thanks to the JROTC Cadets and members of One Blood, we were able to provide enough blood to save over 200+ lives.  

PSLHS Football Honor Guard

On November 1st, 2019, Port St. Lucie High School Army JROTC Jaguar Battalion cadets participated in a parking detail honor guard for our last home football game against the Centennial High School Eagles. They directed traffic to the appropriate parking lot, carrying out their task efficiently and effectively in one of our busiest games against our rival school.  The cadets ran this event smoothly and independently without additional administration.
