SLW Centennial Hosts Successful Math Boot Camp

In an effort to ensure students are well-prepared for the upcoming FAST exams in Algebra and Geometry, SLW Centennial organized a math boot camp on a recent Saturday morning. The event saw an impressive turnout of students eager to enhance their mathematical skills and boost their confidence ahead of the assessments. SLW Centennial has been hosting college visits for students to learn about colleges and universities.  Students have attended assemblies to learn about Florida State University, University of South Florida, University of Miami, University of Central Florida, University of Florida, NOVA, and Florida Southern College. The information sessions provide a structured opportunity for students to learn about academic programs, admissions requirements, financial aid, campus life, and career pathways. SLW Centennial Hosts Boot Camp for ELA & History Students

SLW Centennial High School recently held boot camps for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors, targeting students in the bottom quartile. The 9th and 10th grade boot camp focused on ELA students, while the 11th grade boot camp was dedicated to History students. These initiatives aimed to equip students with effective testing strategies and boost their confidence through motivational speeches and engaging activities. SLW Centennial HOSA Hosts Blood Drive and Collects 75 Pints of Blood

On Tuesday, October 3, SLW Centennial HOSA hosted a blood drive. The blood drive was a huge success! They were able to collect 75 pints with 11 of them being platelets! Overall, it was a great turnout, especially for the first one in years.  The blood donations will help to save so many lives!!!  Way to go EAGLES!

SLW Centennial Honors Retiring Staff Members

SLW Centennial recently held a celebration to honor teachers and staff members retiring at the end of the school year. The event was a chance for the school community to express gratitude for the years of dedication and service these individuals have given. The SLW Centennial High School’s Navy JROTC Navy Eagles “Black Talon” Company held its Annual Military Ball on Friday, April 14th, 2023.  The “Black Talon” Unit held the event at the Hutchinson Shores Resort and Spa located in Jensen Beach. The event started at 5 PM with a “Social Hour” so cadets, parents, and school officials could mingle and socialize. The SLW Centennial High School NAVY JROTC participated in the homecoming festivities during the varsity football game versus Jensen Beach High School on Friday, September 24th, 2021. SLW Centennial High School’s 2nd Annual Student Recovery Day

On January 6th, SLW Centennial High School held its second annual Student Recovery Day. This is a heartfelt initiative aimed at reconnecting with students who had chronic absences and low GPAs during the first semester. Teachers, counselors, and staff members split into teams to visit approximately 65 families, reaching out to students who had been struggling with attendance and academic performance.
