The North County Career Fair was held on April 4th at the Havert L. Fenn Center. Approximately 400 juniors and seniors from Fort Pierce Westwood Academy, Fort Pierce Central, Lincoln Park Academy, and Performance Based Preparatory Academy were in attendance. Students were able to meet and chat with company representatives, ask questions about their company and careers, interview, and possibly land internships. The goal was to expose students to the companies and businesses in St. Lucie County, provide them with the opportunity to learn and explore specific industries, gain the confidence needed to approach adults and start conversations, interview, and practice soft skills. The more exposure and exploration opportunities our students have the more prepared they will be after they graduate.
