October is recognized as National Bullying Prevention Month.  The statistics associated with bullying are staggering across the United States.  More than one out of every five students reports being bullied at some point in their educational career.

As part of our work to address social and emotional learning throughout the district, our goal is to decrease the number by developing strategies that reduce bullying and increase attention to the issue.  Increased focus on awareness and prevention will help everyone understand that bullying by any means will not be tolerated.

The District invites everyone to stand united against bullying and wear orange on October 24th to celebrate National Unity Day — a day in which we demonstrate that we stand together against bullying and united for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.

Fort Pierce Central students read the Anti Bullying Proclamation which was accepted by the Board.
