Morningside Elementary School invited veterans from all branches of the armed forces to join students and staff in a tribute to honor their service to our county. On Thursday, November 9, the school’s hallway was lined with students waving flags, clapping, and cheering as veterans made their way to the school’s cafeteria.
Standing at attention, awaiting the ladies and gentlemen who served our country (some on active duty, some on reserve duty, some retired), was Port St. Lucie High School’s Color Guard. Students from each grade group performed songs and tributes to the audience with a medley of tunes representing each branch rounding out the performance as the finale.
