Sixth grade students in Mr. Fess’ STEM class created working wind-turbines out of old toy motors as part of their “Energy & the Environment” curriculum. All students designed, created, tested, and improved their own creations. Students rated their electricity production using a multimeter and made changes to their builds to improve their efficiency.
Students at the middle school level are introduced to Career & Technical Education and STEM at Northport K8 within Mr. Fess’ class.
