“Students are inspired to do their best knowing that one of their sports heroes could stop in their classroom or visit during lunch to check on progress or give a great-job high five,” said Principal Ucola Barrett-Baxter.
Wilson shepherds groups of students from the school to Miami Dolphins games at Hard Rock Stadium. The privilege of attending is earned by demonstrating academic and behavioral achievements. The acclaimed wide receiver also provides end-of-game meals and autograph sessions for the students as well. In keeping with his vision, Wilson continues to plan with the school to provide more free game ticket incentives. “He has taken a keen interest in the well-being of our students, and we welcome his support,” said Barrett-Baxter.
