Mrs. J. Scipioni’s 5th grade students at Mariposa Elementary have been working hard in math and science. They worked in inquiry groups to figure out how to separate base ten blocks to divide 2-digit divisors. Ashonni Crenshaw, Elivia Hughey, and Julia Caquias are working together as a team separating their base ten blocks.
Students also worked in groups to figure out how to sort solid mixtures based on their physical properties of color, shape, magnetic attraction, and size. James White, Natalie, Matos, Arrielle Jocelyn, and Jovanny Rodriquez are sorting through their mixture based on the physical properties. Jayden Campbell, Serenity Goyette, and Antonio Williams are enjoying exploring together!
