On Wednesday, November 11th, the Port Saint Lucie Jaguar Battalion held a short voluntary assembly at Veterans Memorial Park to honor veterans who have served and continue to serve our country. Everyone was gathered at 2:00 pm as our Instructors and Battalion Commander, Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Lawrence Moleon-Mathews, briefed us on the history and importance of Veteran’s Day. After the briefing, cadets walked around the park to observe monuments, learn about the history and meaning of the memorials from our instructors, and converse with veterans. Lasting about one hour, over 70 cadets chose, voluntarily, to participate in this event on their day off – very impressive.
