Bayshore Elementary School’s kindergarten team received a very special visit from Mrs. Mullan who teaches VPK at the school. Mrs. Mullan participated in kindergarten’s celebration of Holidays Around the World. She shared the special story of Diwali, brought interesting artifacts, and wore a beautiful cultural dress.
Diwali is the five-day festival of lights celebrated by millions of Hindus, Sikhs and Jains across the world. The festival, which coincides with the Hindu New Year, celebrates new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness.
