HealthierUS Award Designated to Select St. Lucie Public Schools

ST. LUCIE COUNTY – The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Division of Food, Nutrition, and Wellness has awarded select schools as recipients of the HealthierUS School Challenge. The HealthierUS Schools Challenge is a voluntary certification initiative created to promote healthier school environments through the encouragement of nutrition and physical activity.

Schools honored will receive a HealthierUS Schools Challenge Award banner for display and a signed plaque.  In addition, Bronze schools will receive $500 and Silver schools will receive $1,000 for their nonprofit school food service account.
