Mariposa is Leveling Up in 2025!
Mariposa celebrated Literacy Week by exploring the world of books and the power of reading! Big Brothers Big Sisters Reads visited K-2 classrooms, inspiring a love for literacy through engaging read-alouds. Special guests, including SLC Commissioner Jame Fowler, local police deputies, and dedicated community volunteers, joined in to share stories and encourage young readers. Their presence made the event even more memorable, highlighting the importance of reading in children’s lives. The week was filled with excitement, fostering a deeper appreciation for books and storytelling while bringing the community together to support early literacy development.
