Over 100 Allied Health Students from SLWCHS, TCHS and FPWHS participated in the Future Healthcare Professionals Conference derived from the Healthcare Roundtable for St. Lucie and Martin Counties. Students had a chance to learn soft skills, financial aid options, task management and overall were able to acquire knowledge on their pathway to becoming a healthcare provider. Students were exposed to vendors from various healthcare industries such as Treasure Coast Hospice, Martin Memorial, Midway Specialty Care, and ABC Medical.
Students were also provided multiple opportunities to win scholarships through raffles that will be announced in the near future. Students were made aware of employment opportunities that are available once they earn their industry certification as a certified nursing assistant (CNA), certified medical administrative assistant (CMAA) and Electrocardiography (ECG or EKG) tech and have completed graduation requirements. St. Lucie Public Schools was happy to partner with the City of Port St Lucie, post secondary institutions, and multiple industry partners to engage our students in exploring their future healthcare pathway.
