Students photographed above were honored at the district level for excelling at the National History Day Fair. Fort Pierce Central High School students Marissa Clemens-Santos and Emily Mazuera did the Manhattan Project for “The Turning Point” in history and Ashley Hampton did “The Synthetic Voice.”
Students photographed above are advancing from the district to the state level. From FPC, Ashley Hampton will advance. Congratulations Ashley! At the state level competition, students are given an appointment time in which she will meet with a judge or small team of judges and will answer questions about their project. The next day the category is announced along with the special award winners at the awards ceremony. Any student who places first or second in their category at the state level competition is invited to register for the national competition.
