In honor of Black History Month, FPC faculty and staff shared a thoughtfully prepared Soul Food Luncheon provided by the FPC Sunshine Committee and Cobra Culinary Dept. FPC employees were invited to the Cobra Café to partake in the Soul Food Feast during both lunches. The custom menu honored rich food traditions, favorite dishes, and wonderful desserts.

Excitement was in the air for the FPCHS Black History Month Celebration. Staff and students were encouraged to dress in Afrocentric attire that highlighted our B.H.M. Celebrations. FPC held a door decorating contest, with three winners to be selected to win prizes. In the voice of Amanda Gorman, U.S. Presidential Poet Laureate, “FOR THERE IS ALWAYS LIGHT IF ONLY WE’RE BRAVE ENOUGH TO SEE IT, IF ONLY WE’RE BRAVE ENOUGH TO BE IT”.
