Fort Pierce Central High School Students Engage in Semester Exam Project

Students in Mrs. Garcia’s classroom at FPC worked on their One-Pager Semester Exam Project, an assignment designed to measure critical reading, writing, and analysis skills. After reviewing clear project expectations, students immediately began outlining thesis statements, identifying relevant textual evidence, and planning visual components to support their responses. Throughout the class period, students used laptops, notes, and planning tools to organize their ideas and remain focused on academic goals.

During the work session, Mrs. Garcia met individually with students using the ELA Tracking Sheet to provide targeted feedback. These conferences helped students strengthen their arguments, refine their evidence, and ensure alignment with project criteria. This individualized approach allowed students to make meaningful progress while maintaining accountability. Mrs. Garcia’s instructional practices continue to support student growth and promote a classroom environment focused on purposeful learning and academic skill development at FPC.
