Fort Pierce Central High School Student Selected for Prestigious State Honor Band

Fort Pierce Central High School and Band Director Mr. Stephen Gabin are proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of band member Jocelyn Hatfield, who was selected to represent the Cobras at the Florida Music Educators Association (FMEA) Conference as a member of the State Honor Band. The FMEA State Honor Band brings together the most accomplished student musicians from across Florida, forming a single elite ensemble that performs during the association’s annual statewide conference. Selection for this ensemble is one of the highest distinctions a young musician can earn, recognizing exceptional skill, discipline, and artistic commitment.

Jocelyn’s achievement reflects not only her own dedication to musical excellence but also the strength of the Fort Pierce Central Band program, which continues to cultivate talent, leadership, and a passion for the performing arts. Her participation in the State Honor Band highlights the opportunities available to FPC students and showcases the remarkable work happening within the school’s music department. Fort Pierce Central extends heartfelt congratulations to Jocelyn and to the entire FPC Band community for this remarkable accomplishment. Moments like these remind us why we are—and will always be—Cobra Proud!
