Fort Pierce Central High School students achieved impressive results at the First FCDI Qualifier held recently in Lake Worth, Florida. The competition brought together speech and debate students from across the region to demonstrate their skills in public speaking, critical thinking, and argumentation.
Several Fort Pierce Central competitors earned top placements during the tournament. Anyely Roque-Perera captured first place in Lincoln-Douglas Debate, claiming the championship title in the event. In Impromptu Speaking, Jesus Rivera earned a second-place finish, while Abigail Gallardo-Diaz placed third.
The tournament provided students with an opportunity to apply research, reasoning, and communication skills in a competitive environment. Their success reflected the preparation, discipline, and determination required to compete at a high level against students from schools throughout the region.
The accomplishments of Fort Pierce Central’s competitors highlight the continued growth of the school’s Speech & Debate program. Strong performances across multiple events demonstrated the talent and commitment of students who proudly represent the Cobras in academic competition.
