On Wednesday, September 23, Fort Pierce Central High School proudly inducted 112 new members into the National Honor Society during a special evening celebration attended by more than 400 students, family members, leadership, and community supporters. The National Honor Society, sponsored by Dr. Katie Avra, is the most prestigious and elite student organization in the country. 
The induction ceremony recognized students who have demonstrated excellence in the four pillars of NHS: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character. Newly inducted members were pinned, received their certificates, membership cards, and took their NHS pledge by candlelight while committing themselves to continued academic achievement and meaningful service within both the school and the community.
The event was made even more memorable by a reception catered by My Grandmother’s Keeper, a beloved Fort Pierce favorite known for its eclectic fusion cuisine and delicious handheld desserts. Guests enjoyed an outstanding assortment of savory bites and sweet treats while celebrating the accomplishments of the newest NHS members.
The evening served as a powerful reminder that student success is never achieved alone. Behind every inductee stands a network of parents, guardians, teachers, mentors, coaches, and friends who encourage students to pursue excellence and reach their full potential.
