CAST Fine Art Classes Celebrate Women in Art

Elementary music students learned about Evelyn Glinney, a deaf percussionist who composed music and would take her shoes off to feel the vibrations of her songs. Students played drums to feel vibrations.

Middle School visual art students studied works of art by Helen Frakenthaler who was famous for using non-traditional tools in her paintings. Students then explored different techniques to express themselves in this abstract way. Middle school dance students dedicated several dances in their spring show to renowned artist, Janet Jackson.
