On December 8 from 8 am – noon, New Horizons is hosting a FREE all-you-can-eat breakfast at Mets Stadium/First Data Field for the children of St. Lucie County and surrounding areas. This year promises to be even more fun, as the youth are invited to stay a bit longer and watch “Elf” on the big screen.
This is a FREE event for children in the community to visit with the big guy in the red suit, who brings good cheer and fun activities to local children in need.
Presented by the St. Lucie Mets, children are treated to an awesome all-you-can-eat breakfast, they decorate holiday cookies, make Christmas cards, and go home with photos of themselves with Santa.
There are few things more gratifying than to watch a child’s face light up with joy and wondrous excitement — particularly children served by New Horizons and other area agencies assisting youth who have experienced trauma, loss and other hardships. If they have a family, often resources are stretched thin to take care of medical bills, housing and special services. Too often, Christmas festivities are just not an option.
The goal for New Horizons is to help children create wholesome memories that will last a lifetime.
