Dr. Donna Mills, SLPS School Board Member, was honored by the Chamber of Commerce as April’s Woman of the Month. Dr. Mills was introduced by her daughter, United States District Court Judge Shaniek Maynard – a past recipient of the Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Month Award. This made for a unique pairing for the mother and daughter team to both hold the Chamber’s “Woman of the Month” distinction.
Dr. Mills has been a champion of students and families in St. Lucie County for 30 years and has served on the School Board since 2010. She invests time in literacy efforts, is dedicated to ministerial missions, and spearheads outreach projects to Haiti. She is also known for her advocacy and participation in community-based events. Congratulations, Dr. Mills!
