Biomedical Academy Students Learn About CSI

During the first year of the Port Saint Lucie High School’s Biomedical Program taught by Ms. Irene Ruiz, students are introduced to “The Case of Anna Garcia.” Students spend the year solving the case of this fictitious character, reading through autopsy reports, medical records, and learning about her medical conditions. On Tuesday, 9.18.2018, Bridget Coghlan, from St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit, came to speak to the students about crime scene investigating, fingerprinting, and analyzing blood spatters at the scene.

Photos include the simulated crime scene, and Coghlan speaking to the classes about CSI.

A great thanks to Bridget Coghlan and the Sheriff’s Office for showing the students all about Crime Scene Investigating!.
