St. Lucie West Centennial Culinary Arts Students Enjoy Behind-the-Scenes Experience at Texas Roadhouse
Students from the St. Lucie West Centennial High School Culinary Arts Academy recently enjoyed an exciting and educational field trip to Texas Roadhouse in St. Lucie West, where classroom learning came to life through an immersive, hands-on look at restaurant operations.
The visit provided students with a unique opportunity to explore the history of the establishment, learn about the restaurant industry, and gain valuable insight into the skills and teamwork required to operate a successful restaurant. From live demonstrations of meat butchery and steak portioning to a behind-the-scenes kitchen tour, students experienced several aspects of professional food service firsthand.
One of the highlights was learning how Texas Roadhouse prepares its signature, freshly baked rolls, a guest favorite. Students also had the opportunity to prepare their own salads before sitting down together to enjoy lunch and reflect on the experience.
Throughout the visit, the team shared inspirational messages about hard work, professionalism, and pursuing success in the culinary industry. These conversations offered students meaningful lessons that extend beyond the kitchen and into their future careers.
