Southport Students Enjoy After-School Karaoke Club

Students at Southport Middle School share melodies of joy and enjoy singing a tune during the after-school Karaoke Club. They have the option to choose songs and sing along in either groups or solo, and their melodies inspire diversity as they expose their peers to their different musical tastes.

Southport Students Prepare for Winter Musical with Volunteers from Port St. Lucie High School

Southport Middle School Drama students are hard at work preparing for their upcoming production of The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition, with public shows on December 8th and 9th. Southport Middle School Students Enjoy First Pep Rally of the Year

On Monday, August 28th, 6th-grade students at Southport Middle School experienced their first pep rally of the school year. As part of the festivities, students participated in a cheer competition, competed in a cup-stacking relay race, and claimed their victory as the most spirited school team. Southport’s mascot, Ivan, had an amazing time! Once a Hurricane, always a Hurricane!        

Southport Welcomes 6th Grade Students

Southport Middle School enthusiastically welcomed its 6th-grade students on July 26th and 27th. Over the course of two days, students participated in a welcoming camp where they engaged in a school scavenger hunt to learn the layout of the land, participated in team-building games, competed in relay races, designed t-shirts, and asked questions to 7th and 8th-grade students to get a better understanding of what to expect in middle school.

City of Port St. Lucie Government Officials Impact Students at Southport Middle School

On Tuesday, October 18th, officials from the City of Port St. Lucie visited Southport Middle School’s 7th-grade students in honor of Florida Government Week 2022. The officials presented information about the City of Port St. Lucie initiatives. They answered questions about their individual roles in helping Port St. Lucie meet the needs of its community.
