On Thursday, October 30th, TCHS participated in the Sunshine Kitchen Cook Off. Our talented students, Madison Adames and IRSC student Jade Febus, had the incredible opportunity to compete under the expert mentorship of Chef Kristin Fink. They went up against four other high schools in the district, showcasing their culinary skills and creativity in a series of themed dishes, including a unique take on grilled cheese, a rendition of macaroni and cheese, and a dish utilizing pork tenderloin. On Thursday, October 30th, Treasure Coast High School proudly participated in the annual Giving Concert, a community event celebrating unity, kindness, peace, and love through music. Under the direction of Choral Director Fenelus Robed, the TCHS choir delivered a moving performance that captivated the audience and highlighted the power of student voices. One of the most memorable moments was the choir’s rendition of “Siyahamba,” a traditional African hymn meaning “We Are Marching” in Zulu. The Academic Trivia team from Treasure Coast High School in Port St. Lucie, Florida, recently earned 3rd place at the IRSC High School Brain Bowl competition. The Treasure Coast High School Dance Repertory Company recently attended the Day of Dance at the University of South Florida in Tampa. This exciting event offered all of our dancers a unique opportunity to participate in collegiate-level dance classes taught by esteemed USF dance professors. They trained alongside current USF dance majors and over 200 high school students from across Florida, gaining valuable insight into the rigor and creativity of college-level dance. On Saturday, September 27, Treasure Coast High School’s Unified Bowling Team competed in the District Tournament in Orlando. The team included four athletes and three unified partners, all coming together for a day of bowling, teamwork, and school pride. Kelsey is currently dual-enrolled in the AICE program. She is on track to complete her associate’s degree in general biology through IRSC in the spring and is part of the Biotechnology Academy at Treasure Coast High School. She is in the third year of the program, with an emphasis on molecular biology, following a year of study in agricultural science.
