MIDFLORIDA Community Credit Union is hosting the Gift of Reading program throughout Kindergarten classrooms and elementary media centers. Every Kindergarten student and teacher will receive a copy of the book Picture book by Dog written by Michael Relth and a bookmark. If their parents open a youth savings account, MIDFLORIDA will deposit the first $5. The savings account is paying 1% interest on the first $5000 in deposits.
As one of the largest private scholarship programs in St. Lucie County, the Education Foundation awards approximately 60 scholarships each year thanks to our many donors, such as Aaron Project. Online applications are now being accepted through March 21st and awards will be announced on May 3, 2021. All graduating seniors in St. Lucie Public Schools are invited to apply at www.efslc.org.
