MSE Builds Connections: Donuts with Grownups Event Success

In recognition of “Dad’s Take Your Child to School Day,” students and families participated in Donuts with Grownups! Thank you Dads, Grandads, Uncles, and Families for making this event special and amazing for our Blue Jays! We enjoy connecting with our families and we value and appreciate our INCREDIBLE parent & family involvement and engagement! A continued thank you to our business partners that made this event so successful— Colorado Pawn & Jewelry, Indian River Select, Niagra Bottling LLC, Dixie Cream Donuts, and Fire Dept. Coffee!

Wildlife Warriors: Morningside Elementary Students for Everglades Animals

We are extremely proud of these Amazing Blue Jays! Our 4th graders completed their first Everglades lesson of the school year with a big project about the Everglades animals that need our help. Pictured are some of our EVERGLADES “ACTIVISTS” AMBASSADORS! Thank you Mrs. LaChance, Mrs. Neidhart, the 4th grade Team and Blue Jay families!

X Marks the Spot for MSE 2nd Graders

Ahoy Mateys and Scalawags! After completing their unit on Maps and Globes, students in Mrs. Eibl’s class donned their hats and patches to create a Pirate Treasure Map with all the components of maps: they named the map and island, labeled oceans, created a map key, compass rose, and directions to the buried treasure. Arrggghh!

MSE Students Practice Dynamics

At Morningside Elementary, during music class, students in 3rd and 4th grade put their dynamics knowledge to the test! Students brought their “A-Game” to compete in a friendly game of trivia to help review different dynamics that are used in music.
