Also congratulations to two additional All-State Candidates who earned Honorable Mention are::

Honorable Mention – Catalina Black – Soprano 1 – Florida All-State 7/8 Treble Chorus

Honorable Mention – Caila Calhoun – Soprano 2 – Florida All-State 7/8 Treble Chorus

These students will join more than 800 students throughout Florida for three days of vocal workshops and rehearsals, culminating in performances that are the highlight of the FMEA conference in Tampa, January 10 – 12, 2019.  The All-State Choruses are highly select groups of choral students from Florida’s middle and high schools who are brought together for the purposes of rehearsing and performing selected music with guest conductors. Students are selected based on competitive scoring on a written music theory test, vocal performance, and sight reading.

These All-State students are not only blessed with exceptional vocal talent, but also possess the mental focus and perseverance necessary to rise to the top through a rigorous selection process that began in September. We are so proud of them!
