A Cobra Farewell

Ms. Maribel Lein, FPC Retirement

Upon an average look, it would appear that Fort Pierce Central High School is built like many other schools in our district. Concrete pillars, posts, eaves, roofs, and walking paths line any school but there is something different holding up Fort Pierce Central. For over 24 years, Ms. Maribel Lein has been the Executive Assistant Extraordinaire for Cobra Nation even opening the new school site. Though her job was assisting the Principal, Ms. Maribel was more than an assistant to each and every Cobra who stepped onto campus. There would truly not be a Cobra Nation or Cobra Family without Ms. Maribel. She was, for so many of us, the first person we met when we came to Central. Ms. Maribel was our introduction to Cobra Nation and to the ways of purple and gold. As flowers were delivered every hour of her last day with us at Central, her office filled and reflected all the light, beauty, and vibrancy that we all know and love in Maribel. To honor and celebrate Ms. Maribel with a memorable send-off, Cobra Nation rolled out the Red Carpet for our one-and-only Executive Extraordinaire! Colleagues from past and present flooded the Cobra courtyard to give one last FPC family hug! As salsa music played and dancers began to twist and move, tears were shed as Maribel was honored with a plaque, sash, and of course more flowers! We continued the celebration in the Cobra Cafe and were joined by Maribel’s family who traveled to town! Thank you to everyone for the magnificent send-off and above all, to our Ms. Maribel.

Once a Cobra, Always a Cobra!
