Bayshore Elementary’s Mental Health Awareness Night

Bayshore Elementary’s Mental Health Awareness Night was a wonderful evening focused on connection, learning, and wellness for our school community. Families enjoyed a delicious dinner from Publix, and the first 50 Bayshore students were treated to free Kona Ice, adding to the excitement of the event. Students participated in engaging, hands-on activities designed to support their mental health, including creating pinwheels for breathing exercises, calming glitter bottles, bracelets, and squish balls. They also explored games and calming strategies, received glitter tattoos, and took fun pictures at the photo booth.

These stations were led by our dedicated Bayshore teachers—Ms. Pank, Ms. Enoch, Ms. Harper, Ms. Hardee, Ms. Bolano, Ms. Archer, Ms. Porterfield, and Mr. Gittin—who generously volunteered their time. Families also connected with valuable community resources. The school counselors, Ms. Cesar, Ms. Alexander, Ms. Mora, the mental health counselor Ms. Jones, Ms. Bonner school psychologist, Ms. Napoleon, school social worker and Ms. Silas and Ms. Rivera admin worked together to make this night a success and highlight the importance of mental health.
