Hooked on Helping: Southport Middle School Fishing Club Gives Back at Beach Clean Up

Our Fishing Club recently spent a meaningful Saturday morning giving back to the community while enjoying the great outdoors. Led by Coach Zoerhof and Coach Gonzalez, students participated in a beach clean‑up, working together to help keep our shoreline clean and protect the local environment. In addition to the service project, students had the opportunity to enjoy some fishing, making the experience both productive and fun. Families also joined in to support the effort, creating a wonderful sense of teamwork and school pride. Students demonstrated responsibility, leadership, and care for their community while making lasting memories alongside their peers and parents. Thank you to the Guntow family for helping out as well.  It was inspiring to see everyone working together for a great cause, and the smiles throughout the morning reflected just how much fun was had by all.
