Fairlawn families made memories to last a lifetime at our recent Movie Night celebration! As the grand finale to our One School, One Book journey with Nim’s Island, students, parents, and staff gathered together for an evening filled with laughter, learning, and community spirit. The excitement in the air was contagious as families spread out blankets and chairs, enjoyed tasty treats, and watched the story they had been reading come to life on the big screen.
It was truly special to see students making connections between the book and the movie while sharing the experience with their loved ones. Events like this highlight the power of literacy to bring people together and strengthen the bonds within our school community.
We are incredibly thankful to the Education Foundation of St. Lucie for their generous grant support and to Environmental Land Development for their donation, which helped make both One School, One Book and Movie Night possible. A heartfelt thank you also goes to Mrs. Ridle, Mrs. Padon, and our dedicated staff members who worked behind the scenes to create such a meaningful event. Fairlawn is more than a school — it’s a family, and this night was a perfect reminder of that.
