The SLW Centennial Navy JROTC “Black Talon” Company competed in the Cypress Creek NJROTC Drill Competition on Saturday, January 17, 2026.
Navy Drill Competition Field Meets have multiple events that individual school unit drill teams compete in. These events include an Academic Test, 5 separate drill events, Push-Ups, Curl-Ups, a 16x100Yard relay, and a Personnel Uniform Inspection. All in all, there are 13 separate trophies that can be earned at Navy JROTC Drill Competitions.

2nd Place in Academics (Trophy)
2nd Place in Personnel Inspection (Trophy)
3rd Place in Color Guard Drill (Trophy)
2nd Place in Unarmed Basic Drill (Trophy)
2nd Place in Armed Basic Drill (Trophy)
5th Place in Unarmed Exhibition Drill
3rd Place in Armed Exhibition Drill (Trophy)
2nd Place Overall in Drill (Trophy)
2nd Place in Team Push-ups (Trophy)
4th Place in Team Curl-ups
4th Place in the 100m relay
3rd Place in Overall Athletics (Trophy)
2nd Place Overall in Competition (Trophy)
