Rivers Edge Students Showcase What’s Poppin’ in Quarter 1

Rivers Edge Elementary continued its new Classroom Connections initiative with a flavorful and engaging event — the Popcorn Pop-Up — giving families a firsthand look at the exciting learning happening in classrooms during the first quarter.

Students proudly showcased their academic achievements, guiding their families through interactive displays and activities that highlighted key concepts and skills. Families celebrated their children’s success while enjoying popcorn and engaging in meaningful conversations about learning.

In addition to the tasty treat, families received take-home resources including anchor charts and question stems — practical tools to help reinforce classroom learning at home and support continued academic growth.

Classroom Connections is a school-wide effort to deepen family engagement.  These daytime events complement Rivers Edge’s existing Family Engagement Nights, offering families multiple opportunities to connect with their child’s education — both during and after school hours.

This initiative is designed to build stronger bridges between home and school, ensuring every student feels supported, celebrated, and connected to their learning community.
