Students in Mr. Swalwell’s World History class are currently preparing for their first vocabulary test, which focuses on key terms related to the Byzantine Empire and Arab Civilizations. To help reinforce their understanding, students worked collaboratively in small groups, actively matching vocabulary words with their correct definitions. This interactive approach encouraged discussion and peer learning. As a fun twist, students were given the opportunity to challenge Mr. Swalwell to a round of Blooket—a competitive educational game—for a chance to earn bonus points. Although Mr. Swalwell proved to be a tough opponent, the students showed great enthusiasm. Better luck next time, everyone!
