Students at Lawnwood Elementary School attended a special presentation by the Oxbow Eco-Center for meeting their first attendance incentive. Children learned about several animals and the features that make them unique. One fun fact discussed was that the eye shape of snakes is a key feature that can allow a person to distinguish which are venomous and not. This was a very interactive and fun experience for all those who attended. Remember to come to school, arrive on time, and stay all day in order to participate in the attendance incentives! Tracking attendance is valuable and serves a critical role in improving a student’s instructional performance; therefore, it is a regular part of the school day. Go Leopards!
